CitiKitty’s Cat Toilet Training Kit – It’s Possible To Live Litter Free In The City

Okay, even Yo – the cat, did not believe it was possible… Little did he know it was… you can train a cat to use the toilet with CitiKitty! It’s rather amazing how CitiKitty works: A cat’s litter-free life begins with a training seat that attaches firmly to your toilet. At first, the seat is filled with litter. As your kitty gets the hang of hopping up onto its new throne you slow remove sections of the seat. After a short time when all the litter and all the sections have been removed, your cat is officially potty-trained.

“A third of our orders are coming from California and New York,” says Rebecca Rescate, CitiKitty’s founder, whose own cat, Samantha, is a convert to the litter-free life. Which it understandable, since many people have limited space and time to mess with a litter box, yet love their cats.

CitiKitty is an affordable way to take the mess away and leave more time for you and your kitty to play. Not to mention the money saved from buying litter. The CitiKitty Toilet Training Kit is patent pending and made in the USA. CitiKitty, and offers worldwide shipping.

Indiana State Museum Presents The Fearless Furniture Exhibit

A new generation of designers was celebrated in the Indiana State Museum’s Fearless Furniture Exhibit. Featuring spirited designs by 21 juried and three invited artists all with Indiana connections, the exhibit celebrated daring designs.
“The show illustrates not only the immensely diverse talent associated with our state, but also the artists’ fearless approaches to making a living from something they love doing,” said Indiana State Museum Decorative Arts and Furniture Curator David Buchanan.
Among the furniture is a very modern red aluminum concept chair titled Star Chair, designed by Indianapolis-based furniture maker Glen Fuller and Fluxus, a poplar, glass and steel table inspired by the ebb and flow of the White River by Ball State University Assistant Professor Dustin Headley.
Buchanan tapped internationally-renowned furniture designer Wendy Maruyama to jury the exhibition. As part of the judging criteria, all of the artists needed to have an Indiana connection: either as a native or current resident of the state or trained at one of Indiana’s well-known design programs. Applications were submitted from across the country with the final selection including artists from as far away as Hawaii and Maine.
The furniture includes chairs, clocks, benches, tables, and much more to explore during the Fearless Furniture Exhibit. And, it may inspire you to be as creative in your home decorating!

Sun And Fun At The Beach In Atlantic City

Temperatures are rising and it’s time to head to the beach, and Atlantic City offers plenty of fun in the sun for everyone. Catch a great performance, shop, or try your luck at one of the casinos, there are more options than you might think along Atlantic City’s world-famous Boardwalk. Slip off the sandals and feel the warm sand between your toes while enjoying a cool ocean breeze because there are no badges or entrance fees for a day out at the beach in Atlantic City. And, the beaches are even equipped with handicap access ramps so everyone can enjoy the sand and surf. So pack your family and friends for a refreshing escape.
Splash around in the water when you need to cool off, and know that someone is always watching; Atlantic City’s professional lifesaving squad. They are on staff throughout the summer season between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., so you can feel safe testing the Atlantic Ocean’s waves. After a swim stroll along the waters edge, or take a light jog, or if you’re up to it join the annual Atlantic City Marathon. For over forty years, athletes have tested their strength and stamina by participating in this 26.2-mile marathon that is known for its flat and fast course. The race not only has people running on the world-famous Boardwalk, it also takes runners through the streets of Atlantic City as well as the neighboring communities of Ventnor, Margate and Longport.
If water sports are more your style there are beaches designated for the adventurous as well. Head over to Crystal Beach at New Hampshire Avenue, Delaware Avenue Beach or Downtown Beach at Raleigh Avenue to catch the surfers showing off their skills. Kayaking and windsurfing enthusiasts can bring their equipment down to Jackson Avenue beach and spend hours out on the water. Volleyball players can also start a game with other beach goers at nets located in front of several hotels along the beach. A favorite pastime of many of those at the beach is constructing sandcastles, or bring along your rod and go and fishing, which is permitted on the jetties along Maine Avenue and the Boardwalk as well as in the inlet off of the Boardwalk. There is no fishing license required for these areas. If fishing off a boat out on the water sounds more interesting, there are many fishing and cruising charters at several city locations.
As you can tell there are numerous options to enjoy during your day out at the beach in Atlantic City. Then there’s the entertainment and festivals to join along the Boardwalk. During spring, there are two major parades held in Atlantic City. In March, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, one of the city’s largest parades, has everyone attending seeing green. The Easter holiday is celebrated on the Boardwalk with the Atlantic City Easter Parade. This is the time to show off your Sunday best and take a peek at the Miss New Jersey contestants.
While there are plenty of concerts to choose from while in Atlantic City, one free concert series take place every summer right on the Boardwalk at Kennedy Plaza, located at Mississippi Avenue. On Thursday nights in July and, you can enjoy the well known and local jazz musicians along with during the Chicken Bone Beach Jazz Concert Series.
The month of August is definitely packed with events. The Puerto Rican Parade also takes place on the Boardwalk in August. But the big show everyone talks about at the end of the summer is the Atlantic City Airshow – “Thunder Over the Boardwalk,” takes place in August over both Atlantic City and the Atlantic Ocean. The Boardwalk provides the best view and the event is absolutely free. Watch as members of the US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy and civilian owned aircrafts showcase their skills. The day is packed with demonstrations, flybys and search and rescues. And if you can’t get out that day to watch the Airshow, maybe you can catch a few jumps, rolls or flybys the day before, as the participants practice for the event.

BikeHike Adventures Offers Cuban Cycling Adventure

Experience the culturally explosive Cuban lifestyle on a 9-day biking journey with BikeHike Adventures, which kicks off in Early May, and in Late November. “Cuba is like nowhere else I’ve cycled,” said Trish Sare, the Founder and Director. “In a lot of ways, the true Cuba remains a mystery to the majority of North Americans. I want to share Cuba from a cyclist’s perspective.”
The Cuban Cycling Adventure is one of the guided tours to 30 destinations worldwide by the Vancouver based global adventure travel company BikeHike Adventures. BikeHike caters to outdoor enthusiasts with a passion to go a little deeper during their travels. Highly experienced and personable adventure guides facilitate the wonder and pride of exploration.
The Cuban Cycling Adventure begins in Havana, and cyclists cross to the southern coast of Cuba towards Trinidad before heading north to Santa Clara. Stops along the way include Cienfuegos, Zapata Peninsula, and the Bay of Pigs. The nice thing is that roads are relatively car free, as biking is the transportation of choice for many Cuban locals. And, this opportunity opens up the terrain to a cycler’s heaven few North American’s expect to find.
“We have carefully crafted this adventure to reflect both high-energy cycling and genuine Cuban flare. This is an experience offered nowhere else,” reflected Trish Sare.
On your trip you can expect to ride between 60km and 100km each day. The route is on undulating paved roads, offering cyclists a variety of inclines and scenic perspectives. Meals are served in local paladars, which are family-run restaurants, and nights are spent in comfortable hotels. The goal is to expunge an authentic Cuban experience by touching the local scene and steering clear of resort locations.
Both big and small groups are accommodated with varying degrees of difficulty. If exploration is your lifestyle, BikeHike Adventures is your mentor. The results are memorable journeys, new friends, culinary treasures, a satisfying sense of accomplishment and a new worldview.
